Upneeq® is a prescription eye drop designed to temporarily lift drooping upper eyelids (acquired ptosis). With one daily drop, the active ingredient oxymetazoline helps stimulate the eyelid muscle to create a more open, refreshed appearance and brighter-looking eyes.
Upneeq® (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution 0.1%) is the first and only FDA-approved prescription eye drop used to treat acquired ptosis, a condition where the upper eyelid droops over time.
The drop works by stimulating the Müller’s muscle, a small muscle that helps elevate the upper eyelid. When activated, this muscle gently lifts the eyelid, allowing the eyes to appear more open, refreshed, and symmetrical.
Applied once daily, Upneeq offers a non-surgical option for improving eyelid position and eye appearance, with many patients noticing results within minutes and effects lasting several hours.
